Westmoor Park Farm & Nature Summer Day Camp 2017
Educational summer camp experiences for children 3 - 13 years old are offered weekly from June 26th through August 18th.
Trained Naturalist staff will lead your child through hands on activities exploring the woods, fields, and ponds of the park. Campers also spend time learning about farm animals and gardening. Our Staff to Camper ratios are aways low, and range between 1:4 and 1:8.

WESTMOOR PARK PUDDLE JUMPERS
Age 3 (Must be 3 and toilet trained by the first meeting)
This is a 'drop-off' program gently introducing children to the wonders of Westmoor Park. Games, stories, crafts, gardening and farm visits to pet and feed the animals will round out our mornings. Fun Friday festivities include hayrides. On hot days there will be sprinklers or other water-play to cool us off! Each session is open to a limited number of children.
WESTMOOR PARK PRESCHOOL NATURE DISCOVERY
Age 4 - 5 (Must be 4 and toilet trained by the first meeting)
Our camp for children entering preschool & kindergarten promises fun filled nature discovery. At the farm children will meet and care for the animals through gentle touching, and feeding. The vegetable gardens provide campers an opportunity to plant and harvest crops. Easy walks to the ponds, through meadow and forest will foster your child's love of nature. Stories, games, crafts and Fun Friday hayrides are essential to the adventure. Hot days will include water play activities.
WESTMOOR PARK 1/2 DAY FARM AND NATURE SUMMER CAMP Mornings
Age 6 - 10
Children entering grades 1- 4 are invited to join us for outdoor summer fun on the farm and investigations in nature! Westmoor Park offers unique hands-on exploration and interactive activities that cultivate excitement for science, nature and animals. Learn about being a real farmer by feeding and grooming the farm animals along with planting and harvesting vegetables. We'll explore hidden habitats through hikes in the forest and meadows and netting in the pond. Each session will include crafts, stories, games and Fun Fridays with hayrides too!
WESTMOOR PARK FARM & NATURE SUMMER CAMP
Age 6 - 13
Campers will be divided into groups by age. Farm & Nature Day camp is designed for children entering grade 1 through 7. Spend the summer at Westmoor Park, where environmental education is transformed into a hands-on adventure. Exhilarating days are spent outdoors exploring the bounties of Westmoor Park. At the farm campers will groom and feed our amazing animals, do chores in the barn, plant and harvest the vegetable garden. Our vast fields, forest, trails and ponds are the backdrop for insect adventures, netting, crafts, and playing games. Of course afternoon options, swimming at Eisenhower pool on Wednesday after lunch and Fun Fridays with hayrides are part of the weekly summer adventure. Our instructors include dedicated Westmoor Park camp alumni and 4-H members with a love of children, enthusiasm for the outdoors and a passion for Westmoor Park. An Extended Day Option is available for an additional fee.
WESTMOOR PARK COUNSELOR IN TRAINING
Age 14 - 16
Westmoor Park Counselor in Training (CIT) Program offers teens an opportunity to gain experience in the field of Environmental Education & Summer Camp programming. CITs will partner with a Westmoor Park camp instructor assisting with daily camp activities. Interested applicants must enjoy being outdoors and working with children. Applicants must be available to attend a mandatory training session scheduled in June. Positions are limited and as such, teens may only sign up for two sessions.
WESTMOOR PARK EXTENDED DAY SUMMER CAMP
Age 6 - 13
For parents who cannot pick up their child by 4:00 pm, an Extended Day Option is being offered. Supervision only (no organized activities) will be provided at the park until 5:00 p.m.
